  1. Welcome to Oakland's hamradio ftp file area, sponsored by the

  7. For a complete file listing, download the file `ls-lR'.  
  8.  
  9. If you have files that may be of interest to others, please upload
  10. them to the public directory `/pub/hamradio/incoming'.  Also, please
  11. e-mail Scott Ehrlich (address below) regarding any files you do place
  12. into the Incoming directory.
  13.  
  14. * DO NOT UPLOAD ANY COMMERCIAL OR ILLEGAL SOFTWARE INTO THE
  15. /pub/hamradio/incoming directory.  It will be deleted, and appropriate
  16. actions will be taken.

  18. The files located under the directory ARRL are a combination of: a
  19. copy of the text files on the ARRL's (American Radio Relay League's)
  20. information server at info@arrl.org, along with information about the
  21. National Traffic System (NTS), and, finally, some miscellaneous files
  22. (Other-files).

  24. The files located under the directory BARC consist of a combination of
  25. archives of the different mailing lists the club maintains:
  26.  
  27. - Fox/Transmitter hunting [fox-list],
  28. - ARRL bulletins and information [w1aw-list]
  29. - General club information [barc-list]
  30. - Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service list [barc-races]
  31.  
  32. In addition to mailing list archives, it also has a directory of the
  33. text versions of the club newsletters [Newsletters].
  34.  
  35. There is also a directory called [official-docs] which contains
  36. various important club-related files, including an ASCII file of the
  37. club Constitution and its By-Laws, among other files.
  38.  
  39. In addition to the above, the club also continuously collects useful
  40. ham radio related programs for all types of computers and operating
  41. systems.
